The Government explains the results of the basic income experiment in Finland

Finland's basic income experiment started on 1 January 2017 and ended on 31 December 2018. During the experiment, 2000 randomly selected unemployed persons received a basic income of EUR 560 per month regardless of their other income or, for example, of whether they were actively trying to find a job or not.
