The West Uusimaa Police Department is looking for the driver of a Mercedes-Benz passenger car that on 8 November collided with a young cyclist girl in Espoo.
According to police information, the crash happened at the intersection of Kaitaantie and Iivisiniemi. The car's driver was a woman from 30 to 40 years old.
The police explained on a press release that a teenage cyclist was injured in the accident.
The woman who was driving the car stopped, stepped out of the vehicle and asked the cyclist about her condition. The girl replied she was okay, so the driver left the scene and continued her journey without verifying the victim's condition or leaving any contact details for further investigation.
The cyclist had to be later hospitalized due to the blow she suffered in her head. According to the police, there were also eyewitnesses.
