The total production of Finnish industry improved compared to the previous month, but is still far from the level of a year ago and with some industries unable to emerge from the crisis.
Production went down by 11.2% in the electrical and electronics industry, by 8.4% in the forest industry and by 8.1% in the metal industry from the year before.
Seasonally adjusted industrial production grew in December most in the electrical and electronics industry, by 7.2%. The decline in output was strongest in the chemical industry (-3.1%).
