Finnish authorities reported on Sunday that a case of coronavirus was detected in one of the officials working at the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Government's bulletin, the official who tested positive for Covid-19 has been working in the office of the Ministry of Finance at Mariankatu 9, near the port of Helsinki.

The Government says the official's symptoms are mild and the person is feeling good.

The official's closest contacts (about 10 people) have been sent to work remotely "immediately after the suspicion of infection" emerged, Government explained.

Now that the infection has been confirmed, the health care authorities will issue the corresponding quarantine orders.

Some of those exposed have mild respiratory symptoms and have been in contact with health care services.

"The working space on Mariankatu has been cleaned and the work can continue," Government said.
