Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif to Finland
He will meet with President Sauli Niinistö and with Finnish ministers for discussions on bilateral relations, international and regional issues and Finland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. After, he will continue his trip to Sweden and Norway.
Iranian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Javad Zarif will visit Finland on 19 August, Finnish authorities informed today.
Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif will have meetings with President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö, minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Skinnari and Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto who will host Zarif’s visit in Finland.
Discussion topics in the meetings will include bilateral relations, international and regional issues, human rights issues and Finland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
“I am looking forward to the discussion with Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif. Tensions in the Gulf of Persia have an impact on the entire world. The importance of maintaining a dialogue is emphasised in this situation” said Finnish Foreign Minister Haavisto.
Minister Zarif will continue his trip from Finland to Sweden and Norway.
