On Tuesday 21 May, Pirkko Mattila, Minister of Social Affairs and Health, will have served 1,000 days as a minister, as informed the Finnish Government's Communications Department.

Pirkko Mattila was appointed as the minister of Social Affairs and Health of Prime Minister Sipilä’s Government in August 2016.

However, she is not the minister who has been in office the longest. That honor is for Anu Vehviläinen, minister of Local Government and Public Reforms.
