Again violence in a public space in Finland, again a person injured with a bladed weapon in the capital region and, once again, those involved in the incident are minors.
Officers from the East Uusimaa police department had to intervene on Monday in the city of Vantaa, after receiving at about 1 pm a report about a violent incident registered in the Tikkuri shopping center, in which "a young person" had been injured with a knife.
The police say that they arrived quickly at the scene of the crime, where they began first aid maneuvers for the victim. The wounded person had to be taken to a hospital to receive further treatment.
Police agents also found the suspect near the scene. According to police information, there are several witnesses to the events.
In their press release, the police say that they will not report further on the events because both the suspect and the victim are minors.
