Finland recorded two more coronavirus deaths on Wednesday.

The first one occurred at the Kanta-Häme Central Hospital, in the city of Hämeenlinna. The victim was a "middle-aged" person who belonged to a risk group due to a previous illness, said the Kanta-Häme hospital district in press release, in which also expressed its "deepest condolences."

Also the Helsinki-Uusimaa hospital district reported another death caused by Covid-19 which occurred on Tuesday 24. According to a press release, the victim was "an old person" from the capital region.

Again, and with the excuse of safeguarding people's privacy, the Finnish health authorities have refused to say whether the victims are men or women and have not wanted to say their age either.

They did the same with the first death, which occurred in Helsinki last Friday and disclosed one day after. So far, three people died in the country due to Covid-19.

"No further information"

"No further information is given to protect privacy in the event of a death," hospital districts say in their reports to the public.

To date, 20 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the Kanta-Häme region and two other patients are being treated at Hämeenlinna's central hospital.

The capital region of Helsinki-Uusimaa is so far the most affected by the coronavirus epidemic. Almost two out of three infections are diagnosed in the Helsinki-Uusimaa hospital district, which is also the area with more health personnel infected.
