Even in coronavirus days, some business increase their sales.

Aku Vikström, CEO of NoHo Partners talked to Yle and said that a clear example of this is the restaurant's industry.

“As funny as it sounds, Hanko Sushi is currently selling more sushi than before,” added Vikström.

The phenomenon is confirmed by even smaller sushi restaurants. Japanese traditional food is a surprise hit of the Covid-19 days.

Vikström pointed out that this is because the large lunch buffets combining Chinese, Japanese and Thai food are closed.

The sushi demand now is directed back to the specialized restaurants. According to Vikström, “Finland has a large sushi market.”

However, this does not change the gloomy overall economic picture.
