Norwegian will resume flights from Helsinki to Stockholm and Oslo from 1 July, according to a press release.

The airline will operate commercial flights from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Stockholm 6 times a week and to Oslo 3 times a week.

This resumption of flights between Helsinki and the capitals of neighboring Nordic countries is part of Norwegian's broader plan to reactivate 76 routes, both domestic and foreign, that had been closed due to coronavirus restrictions.

"Now that our competitors have recovered much of their offer, we also want to participate and contribute to the gradual return of society to normality. We have also introduced many measures to further reduce the already low risk of infection on flights, "says Jacob Schram, CEO of Norwegian.

Face masks required

Norwegian has recently operated eight aircraft on which it has flown some domestic flights within Norway. Now, 12 more planes will be put into service, the company says.

The airline requires passengers who are six years of age or older to wear face masks during the flights.
